Digital DNA has revealed an impressive line-up for its panel session on Tuesday 19th June 2018 where digital disruption in the office market will be discussed.

Led by Declan Flynn, Managing Director at leading commercial property agents, Lisney, the panel will feature Suzanne Wylie, Chief Executive at Belfast City Council; Damian Mitchell, Property Director at Causeway Asset Management & StepSpace; Tom McClelland, UK Head of Business Development at WiredScore; Paul Beacom, Senior Asset Manager at McAleer & Rushe; and David Algie, Arup Belfast’s MEP leader.

With digital platforms driving huge changes for traditional businesses, the panel will explore the future of office buildings and how they can functionally meet the fast-changing needs of the occupiers of today and tomorrow.

Declan Flynn, Managing Director at Belfast-based Lisney, said:

“Once upon a time, digital technology and commercial property may have seemed a million miles apart. However, the speed at which technology evolves and the opportunities it presents, has brought digital to the fore within many industries across the world.

“The innate ability of digital technology to facilitate connection and interaction with expansive sources of information, data and analytics has redefined not only how we communicate, but how we consume services.

“With technological change not showing any sign of slowing, there are challenges for the future of office buildings in order to meet the digital requirements of future occupiers. For example, occupiers will need to access sources of data at an ever-increasing speed; and the desire for 24/7 365 connectivity will only become stronger.

“As leading commercial property agents, with a strong Office team, we are aware of the demand for Office space in Belfast from international investors. It is therefore essential that we all work together to ensure Belfast’s Office market can meet the demands of occupiers and investors alike.

“This panel is a fantastic opportunity to bring key figures within the industry together to discuss how commercial property, specifically the Office sector, can embrace digital and use it to our advantage to ensure continued demand for the market.”

The panel will take place at 12:00pm on Day 1, Tuesday 19th June, of Digital DNA 2018 at St. George’s Market.

Simon Bailie, Commercial Director for Digital DNA, added:

“The internet and emergence of digital platforms have not only transformed our personal lives, but they are now transforming the way we work, and traditional businesses are having to adapt very quickly.

“It is great to have Lisney on board taking this panel forward to really make sure Belfast has an Office offering that is cutting edge and on the radar of investors and large, international corporations.

“It is a superb line up and I’m really looking forward to hearing about the digital future of Office space in Northern Ireland from the people who will make it happen.”
