A Coalisland architectural and civil engineering consultancy and a building and civil engineering contractor based in Clonoe, have been appointed by the Donnelly Group to build its new Jaguar Land Rover showroom.
Following a competitive tender process, McKeown and Shields and O’Neill of Clonoe have been awarded the contract for the build of the £6 million showroom at the Donnelly Group’s flagship Dungannon site.
Both companies have now started work on the state of the art 50,000 sq. ft. building that will open later this year.
Dave Sheeran, Managing Director at Northern Ireland’s largest family-owned new and used vehicle retailer, the Donnelly Group, said:
“Jaguar Land Rover has a very clear vision for its luxury brand and its high-performance vehicles, and it is essential that the showroom environment reflects this whilst creating an enjoyable experience for customers.
“Our showroom in Dungannon will feature the new Jaguar Land Rover Arch concept which seamlessly brings both brands together under one roof in a modern, bright, spacious, ambient setting.
“The customer has been kept at the forefront throughout the design process resulting in an improved journey through the showroom and an enhanced customer experience. This is really important to us at Donnelly Group where we focus on keeping the customer central to everything we do at all levels of the business providing unrivalled service, value and choice to our loyal customers.
“The new showroom will facilitate 100 customer parking spaces as well as space for 16 new show cars and 75 used Jaguar Land Rover vehicles resulting in a broader choice of vehicles for customers to view than ever before. We have a longstanding relationship with Land Rover and welcoming Jaguar as our newest manufacturing partner is indeed a significant milestone for the Donnelly Group in enhancing our premium offering to customers.
“We are delighted to partner with two local companies to carry out the building works and look forward to working with them on this exciting project.”
The new Donnelly Jaguar Land Rover showroom will not only create a number of jobs when complete but will be the first and only premium brand outlet anywhere in mid-Ulster.
The contemporary building, complete with luxurious furnishings, will feature the signature Jaguar Land Rover ‘arches’ painted in colours unique to Jaguar Land Rover – Sunshine Grey and Champagne Silver.
Peter O’Neill, Director at O’Neill of Clonoe, said:
“This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside Donnelly Group on the build of their new Jaguar Land Rover showroom.
“We pride ourselves in delivering high quality projects with minimal disruption to day to day business activity. This is a great project to add to our repertoire and we are excited for customers to see the end result.”
Martin Nugent, Director at McKeown and Shields, said:
“Donnelly Group is a brand synonymous with motoring across Northern Ireland, and Jaguar Land Rover is one of the most revered manufacturing brands across the world, so this is a really exciting project for McKeown and Shields to be involved with.
“The innovative design of the new showroom is truly eye-catching and reflective of the high-end luxury brand characteristics. The interior will complement this with comfortable, spacious waiting areas for customers to view options for their new vehicle.
“As a Tyrone based company, we are delighted to be working with the Donnelly Group and look forward to completing the project and seeing customers enjoy the new offering.”
During building work, the existing Donnelly Land Rover showroom in Dungannon, which is one of eight Donnelly Group locations across Northern Ireland, will continue to operate as normal.
