But don’t just take our word for it – our past placement students have plenty to say about their time at Lighthouse.

From tackling real client campaigns to seeing their ideas come to life, they’ve left (and in some cases, stayed!) with skills, confidence, and stories worth sharing…

Alana Watson
Placement student for 2024/2025
Current student at Ulster University

“I love the variety of communications, being able to go out to different events, work on a variety of projects, and meet lots of people. Even as a placement student, I was given the same level of responsibility as everyone else, which made me feel like a very valued member of the team.”

Dearbhla Mac Donald
Placement student for 2019/2020
Current Senior Consultant

“During my placement, I worked across our entire portfolio of clients, which gave me a great insight into what it’s like to work in the industry. After I completed my placement, I was given the offer of full-time employment at Lighthouse, where I’ve since thrived. I think a placement at Lighthouse gives you a good foundation for starting your career, and it definitely opened up opportunities for me.”

Scarlett Gibbons
Placement student for 2023/2024

“Before I started Lighthouse, I thought I knew what marketing and PR was – but after working with the company for three years, there’s a lot more to it than what you’re taught at university. No two days are the same, and everyday is a new challenge. During my placement year, the team was always willing to help. Whether that was through training sessions, one to one mentoring, or workshops, there was always an opportunity to learn and grow.”
