Belfast-based digital agency, Flint Studios, has been named Digital Company of the Year at the 2017 Digital DNA Awards in partnership with MCS Group.
The company, which employs 30 people and provides web development, design, integration, hosting and digital marketing solutions to businesses from a range of sectors, impressed judges with its ability to generate a combined revenue of more than £5 million for its e-commerce websites in 2016 as well as the company’s 275% revenue growth, with over 35% of sales currently outside of Ireland.
The winners of the awards, which celebrate success and recognise companies and individuals who are “pushing the boundaries of technology”, were revealed in front of more than 600 guests in Belfast’s iconic St. Anne’s Cathedral at Digital DNA’s official dinner.
Jeremy Biggerstaff, Managing Director at Flint Studios, said:
“Digital Company of the Year is a prestigious award which really recognises our impressive performance within the digital sector.
As a dynamic organisation we focus on a unique approach to every project, providing tailored web solutions for almost 200 clients in the UK and Republic of Ireland. We create value by listening, understanding and delivering results for our growing client base to exceed their expectations time and time again.
Specialising in user experience, systems integration and measurement, Flint Studios was the sole Northern Irish company to secure a place in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500™ EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) 2016 list, in addition to ranking 13 in the 2016 Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Ireland list.
The company recently merged with Cheshire-based Link Information Technology Ltd., a specialist provider of web solutions, establishing a base in the Sci-Tech Daresbury Innovation Centre, complementing our new Belfast Ravenhill Road headquarters.
The merger has increased Flint Studios’ client base by approximately 50% to create an impressive portfolio of clients including Plimsoll Publishing, Mary Peters Trust, Berlin Clothing, Survitec Group, STFC, and digitalprinting.co.uk.
Jeremy continued:
“Digital DNA brings together digital experts from across the world and we are delighted to see our digital excellence recognised and celebrated on such a platform.
“Our experienced, yet creative team are at the forefront of digital technology and adapt to new technologies quickly for the benefit of our clients.
“We can deliver Magento, Kentico, Umbraco and bespoke solutions backed up with our Google Partner accreditation. Working in close partnership with our clients, we will continue to provide an innovative approach with exceptional customer support, dedicated account management and superior aftercare.”
Simon Bailie, Head of Business Development at Digital DNA, said:
“At Digital DNA we have always been passionate about recognising and celebrating excellence in digital technology, and these awards allow us to acknowledge the success of those companies doing it well.
“Excelling in the digital world demands huge amounts of ambition, dedications and energy and we want to reward those who are having a positive impact in their company or industry.
“The applications received were all of an extremely high calibre; they didn’t make the judges’ decision an easy one! However, Flint Studios came out on top this year after considerable deliberation.
“We’re thrilled to see a local company in Belfast displaying all of the essential traits to thrive in the digital world.”
