Girls Brigade Northern Ireland (GBNI) has reported a 12% increase in website sessions throughout the fourth quarter of 2018, when compared to the same period in 2017.
This notable uplift in visitors to the GBNI website is attributable to the organisation’s new Kentico Content Management System (CMS) website – officially launched alongside its web-partner Flint Studios in September 2018.
Deborah McMahon, Chairperson at Girls Brigade Northern Ireland, said:
“We have a long-standing relationship with Flint Studios, and working closely with the team, we quickly identified the need for an effective online solution as a way of improving the overall service that we offer to our membership.”
“The original GBNI website was built across a number of different of platforms from PHP, CS Cart and WordPress. We really wanted to have one central website that all elements of our site was catered for. The Kentico Content Management System ticked all the boxes to allow us to combine all our services on to one system and still provide the same level of service to our membership.”
“We have only one official shop at our headquarters in Antrim that stocks the full GBNI product range, and so it is necessary to provide an accessible one-stop-shop for uniforms and other items such as trophies and gifts. The website now offers fast and easy access to a huge range of stock, with delivery straight to our customers’ homes.”
“It was important for the new website to capture the essence of Girls Brigade and to cater for every aspect that supports our leaders, parents, girls and churches. Additional key features include an enhanced navigation structure, search facility across the entire site, upgraded “find a company” section, new photo gallery, online donation function, improved log in facilities and sophisticated online booking/web-filing capabilities – all of which have proven very beneficial to our members.”
“We were very keen to have our new website up and running ahead of the GBNI 125th anniversary, and with many events ahead of us to celebrate this significant milestone, it is great that people will be able to access our new and improved website.”
Belfast-based digital agency, Flint Studios, currently employs a team of over 30 specialists, skilled across a range of technical, creative and digital disciplines.
Jeremy Biggerstaff, Managing Director at Flint Studios, said:
“The entire team at Flint Studios have thoroughly enjoyed working alongside GBNI in establishing its new Kentico CMS website, and these recent figures prove that it has been an effective transition.
“Over the years, GBNI has established a trusted relationship with its suppliers, and therefore it required a web provider who could match these values whilst minimising disruption to the organisation.
“This new website is specifically tailored to the needs of GBNI, and now provides a layout which is easy for visitors to navigate, whilst also performing immaculately on a range of desktop, mobile and tablet devices.
“We have had a strong relationship with GBNI for over three years now, and as such, we will continue to build on this relationship in the future.
“With this in mind, we are proud to announce our sponsorship of the GBNI 125th anniversary, which will see Flint Studios support the organisation across a series of events throughout the year; including the GBNI 5K Colour Run, which will take place in October 2019 to help raise funds to rebuild a school in Kisoro, Uganda.”
