Terence Donnelly, Chairman of Northern Ireland’s largest independently owned vehicle retailer, Donnelly Group, has ‘wowed’ TV personality and auctioneer Derek Mathewson, star of Bangers and Cash, on his first trip to Northern Ireland.
As part of his whistle-stop tour across Mid Ulster, Derek visited Donnelly Group’s Dungannon showroom, where Terence hosted a panel session alongside businessman Derek Clarke, before enjoying a tour of Donnelly Group’s impressive classic car collection.
“It has been an absolute pleasure to welcome Derek Mathewson to Northern Ireland, on what is his first visit to the region” commented Terence.
“I have always admired his character and undisputable knowledge of the industry, and his appreciation for the incredible vehicles we have curated is testament to how truly special and unique our collection is.
“There will always be a warm welcome for Derek at Donnelly Group and we hope to see him back in Northern Ireland in the near future.”
Amazed by the enthusiasm surrounding his visit and the remarkable quality of classic cars in Northern Ireland, Derek hinted at the possibility of returning:
“I think Northern Ireland could become the perfect setting for future episodes of Bangers and Cash” he said.
“I have a passion for vehicles, and if you feel the way that I do about buying and selling, it doesn’t feel like work – it’s a pleasure.
“Furthermore, when you deal with people like Terence, who feel very much the same, it makes it even easier still.”
After visiting several other collectors in the area, Derek moved on to visit JKC in Coleraine where he met other classic car collectors.
In addition to its Dungannon location, Donnelly Group has eight showrooms across Northern Ireland offering vehicles from 18 manufacturers.
